Lockheed Martin sponsors RAFA Rides

28th April 2023

The RAF Association is thrilled to announce that security and aerospace company, Lockheed Martin, has kindly agreed to be its headline sponsor for RAFA Rides 2023.

RAFA Rides is the Association’s annual cycling event, offering an on-road event at its new location in the grounds of Kendrew Barracks, formerly RAF Cottesmore, in Rutland, as well as the option for people to take part from wherever they are in the world.

Lockheed Martin has been supporting RAFA Rides since 2021.

Paul Livingston, Chief Executive at Lockheed Martin UK, said: “Lockheed Martin UK has been proud to support previous RAFA Rides as we acknowledge the vital work of the RAF Association to support and empower serving RAF personnel, RAF veterans and their families. We’re delighted to extend our support to 2023 as the headline sponsor, and we look forward to seeing even more cyclists taking part from all over the world.”

The RAF Association’s Head of Community Fundraising, Jenn Shepherd, said: “We’re delighted to once again have the support of Lockheed Martin UK for RAFA Rides. Their involvement will help us link up even more riders from all over the world, allowing more people to come together in support of the RAF community.”

Last year’s RAFA Rides saw 800 cyclists from 11 countries come together to take part in our in-person and virtual events. Together, cyclists raised over £100,000 for the Association’s work to provide much-needed help and support to millions in the RAF community.
